According to Khaosod Online, the illicit operation had been active for approximately two years, distributing fake medication across Thailand with an estimated market value exceeding 100 million baht.
During the raid, authorities discovered nine workers—eight from Myanmar and one from Laos—engaged in the bottling process at a large facility located in the Na Khok sub-district. Police seized significant quantities of production machinery, over 100 barrels of liquid medication, and large stocks of counterfeit labels and bottle caps.
For residents and travelers, this discovery highlights the importance of purchasing pharmaceutical products only from licensed, reputable pharmacies. Counterfeit medications may contain harmful ingredients or lack the necessary active components, posing significant health risks.
