Eastville Pickleball Championship 2026 Promotes Grassroots Sports in Bangkok
The National Sports Development Fund is backing the Eastville Pickleball Championship 2026, an event designed to expand the sport's reach through competitions and training sessions.
According to Khaosod Online, the National Sports Development Fund (NSDF) and the Sports Authority of Thailand are supporting the 'Eastville Pickleball Championship 2026.' Held at the Central Eastville shopping center, the event aims to promote physical health and broaden the base of pickleball players across all demographics.
The initiative features both competitive matches and foundational training workshops for youth, beginners, and the general public. Over 140 participants have joined the program, which includes categories for men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The competition is structured into two skill-based tiers: DUPR | NR-3.50 and a Combined DUPR category not exceeding 8.00.
For residents and visitors, this event highlights the growing popularity of pickleball in Thailand and the increasing availability of public-access sports facilities within commercial hubs. The initiative serves as a platform for individuals to develop their skills in an inclusive environment.
