Minor Hotels is set to launch the Avani Cypress Lakes Resort in Australia's Hunter Valley, featuring a wellness-focused lifestyle concept.
According to Khaosod Online, Minor Hotels has announced the upcoming opening of the Avani Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, Australia. The property, which is being developed from the existing Oaks Cypress Lakes site, is scheduled to begin a phased opening starting in October 2026.
Spanning 340 acres, the resort will offer 204 guest rooms and feature an 18-hole golf course. A key highlight of the new development is the introduction of 'AvaniWell,' which will serve as the brand's first wellness facility in Australia. Craig Hooley, Chief Operating Officer for Minor Hotels in Australasia, stated that the project aims to position the Hunter Valley as a premier destination for both wellness tourism and event hosting.
For travelers and residents, this expansion represents a significant addition to the region's hospitality infrastructure, blending leisure activities with comprehensive wellness services. While the phased opening is confirmed for October 2026, specific details regarding the full range of wellness programs and the final completion date for all resort facilities remain to be confirmed as the project progresses.
