Poh Teck Tung Foundation Supports Livelihoods in Sisaket
The Poh Teck Tung Foundation has distributed vocational equipment to 74 residents in Sisaket province to foster economic self-sufficiency.
On September 22, 2026, the Poh Teck Tung Foundation conducted a charitable initiative in Sisaket province aimed at reducing social inequality and promoting economic independence. Led by Secretary-General Sirikul Opaswong, the foundation provided vocational equipment to 74 individuals, including women, men, single fathers, and members of the LGBTQ+ community facing financial hardship. The total value of the distributed equipment amounted to 982,800 baht.
The ceremony was presided over by Sisaket Deputy Governor Taweesak Songyu, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security. In addition to the equipment distribution, the foundation deployed a mobile medical unit to provide health services to the local population.
For residents and visitors, this event highlights the ongoing efforts of major Thai charitable organizations to support vulnerable populations in rural provinces. Such initiatives are part of a broader social welfare framework in Thailand that relies on private foundations to supplement government efforts in poverty alleviation.
