Thai Tennis Association Announces Double Bonus for Asian Games Medalists
The Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand has pledged to double the national fund's prize money for athletes winning medals at the upcoming 20th Asian Games in Nagoya.
As the Thai national tennis team prepares for the 20th Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand (LTAT) has announced a significant financial incentive to boost morale. According to Khaosod Online, LTAT President Suchai Pornchaisakudom confirmed that the association will provide a bonus equal to double the amount awarded by the National Sports Development Fund.
Under this new incentive structure, athletes who secure a gold medal will receive 4 million baht per category, while silver and bronze medalists will be awarded 2 million baht and 1 million baht respectively. The team is scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport on the night of September 23, 2026, following their final training session. The tennis competition in Nagoya is set to take place from September 27 to October 3, 2026.
