On September 22, 2026, a six-wheel truck transporting workers to Rayong was involved in a serious traffic accident on Highway 36 (Krathing Lai-Rayong) near Pattaya. According to Khaosod Online, the incident occurred at approximately kilometer marker 3+600 in Nong Pla Lai, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi.
The driver reported that the accident was triggered when he swerved to avoid a pickup truck on the road. Due to slippery road conditions, the vehicle lost control, veered off the shoulder, and overturned. Emergency responders from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation, along with medical teams from Pattaya Pattanakun Hospital, Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, and Pattaya City Hospital, were dispatched to the scene to provide urgent assistance.
Authorities confirmed that 11 individuals sustained injuries in the crash, with some victims reported to be in serious condition. The Bang Lamung Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
