On September 22, 2026, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) issued a formal warning for 10 provinces and Bangkok, urging residents in low-lying areas outside flood embankments to prepare for rising water levels.
According to the Royal Irrigation Department, water flow at the C.2 station in Nakhon Sawan is expected to reach 1,400–1,450 cubic meters per second by September 29. Combined with tributary inflows, the total volume reaching the Chao Phraya Dam will necessitate a discharge rate of 1,000–1,300 cubic meters per second. This release is projected to increase water levels by 0.50 to 1.50 meters in affected low-lying zones.
