Motorcycle Owner Seeks Clarification After Police Use Vehicle in Crime Reenactment
A Rayong resident has requested police assistance to clarify that their motorcycle was used by authorities for a crime scene reenactment, fearing public misunderstanding.
On September 21, 2026, a motorcycle owner in Rayong province approached the Mueang Rayong Police Station to request an official clarification regarding their vehicle. The owner expressed concern that the public might mistakenly associate them with a recent violent crime after police borrowed their motorcycle to conduct a reenactment of a shooting incident.
The incident in question occurred during the 'Colors of the East' festival at Mae Ramphueng Beach on the night of September 18. Two 18-year-old suspects, identified as Phranyu and Charut, were arrested in an abandoned house in Pluak Daeng district following the shooting, which resulted in one death and three injuries. Authorities recovered a modified 9mm firearm during the arrest. Investigations revealed that Phranyu had previously escaped from a juvenile detention center in Rayong in 2024 before encountering his rivals at the festival, leading to the fatal confrontation.
