According to a report by Matichon Online, opposition Member of Parliament Rukchanok Srinork recently conducted field outreach to gauge public knowledge regarding the upcoming Social Security Board election. The election is officially scheduled to take place on September 27, 2026.

During her interactions with the public, Rukchanok observed that a majority of citizens were unaware that this election was approaching. The Social Security Board plays a critical role in managing the funds and policies that affect millions of workers in Thailand, making the participation of eligible voters essential for the democratic oversight of these benefits.

For residents and expatriates who contribute to the Social Security system, this lack of awareness could lead to low voter turnout, potentially impacting the representation of workers' interests on the board.
