GULF Donates 1 Million Baht to Support Families of Border Soldiers
Gulf Energy Development has donated 1 million baht to the Suranaree Force Museum Fund to support the education and welfare of children of soldiers affected by border conflicts.
On September 21, 2026, Gulf Energy Development (GULF) announced a donation of 1 million baht to the Suranaree Force Museum Fund. The contribution was received by Defense Minister Lieutenant General Adul Boonthamcharoen at the Ministry of Defense. The funds are designated to provide welfare and educational support for the children of soldiers who were killed or injured while serving in border areas under the jurisdiction of the Suranaree Force.
This donation is part of a broader initiative by GULF, which previously established a 100-million-baht fund aimed at assisting military personnel and their families affected by security operations along the Thai-Cambodian border. Additionally, the company recently provided medical equipment valued at over 2.1 million baht to Sapphasitthiprasong Camp Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani province to support healthcare services for military personnel.
For residents and travelers, these developments highlight ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts focused on the welfare of security forces in border regions. While the donation provides immediate financial relief for affected families, the long-term impact of these funds on the educational outcomes of the beneficiaries remains to be seen. There are no reports of changes to travel safety or border access protocols resulting from this philanthropic activity.
