According to Khaosod Online Thailand, organizers of the 2026 Asian Games have postponed the equestrian eventing competition to Tuesday, September 22, as a precautionary measure against the approaching Typhoon Dujuan. While the competition venue in Aichi Prefecture remained unaffected by weather conditions on the morning of September 21, officials opted to adjust the schedule to ensure the safety of participants and animals.
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has warned that the typhoon is expected to pass near the Tokyo metropolitan area. Heavy rainfall has already impacted the Izu Islands and parts of the Pacific coast, with some areas recording over 300 millimeters (12 inches) of rain since Saturday. Authorities have issued a top-level emergency landslide warning for Oshima, located south of Tokyo. The JMA anticipates that conditions may deteriorate further as the storm moves toward the Kanto region.
