Two Women Fined After Filming Dangerous Content in Korat Underpass
Police in Nakhon Ratchasima have fined two women for traffic violations after they filmed a social media video inside a busy underpass.
On September 21, 2026, police in Nakhon Ratchasima summoned two 20-year-old women to the Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station following the circulation of a viral TikTok video. According to Khaosod Online, the footage showed the pair riding a motorcycle into the Pradok underpass and stopping to film content while large vehicles, including tour buses, passed by at close range.
Authorities identified five traffic violations, including driving a motorcycle in a prohibited area and stopping in a no-parking zone. Additionally, the individuals were cited for failing to wear safety helmets and operating a vehicle lacking side mirrors. Police Superintendent Pol. Col. Sirichai Srichaipanya confirmed that the women were issued fines and received a formal warning regarding their behavior.
This incident has sparked significant public criticism regarding road safety and the risks associated with creating social media content in hazardous locations. Officials have issued a stern warning to the public, urging citizens to avoid imitating such behavior, which poses a severe risk of accidents for both the content creators and other road users. While the immediate legal proceedings have concluded with fines, it remains to be seen if further measures will be implemented to prevent similar stunts in the area.
