Man Found After Disappearing into Buriram Forest Following Domestic Dispute
A man who went missing in a forest in Buriram province after a disagreement with his wife was located by rescue teams following a five-hour search.
On September 21, 2026, rescue teams and police in Khu Mueang District, Buriram, successfully located a man identified as 'Mac' after he fled into the Dong Kheng forest. The search was initiated after his wife contacted authorities, expressing concern for his safety following a domestic dispute.
More than ten rescue personnel conducted a ground search for over five hours. During the operation, the man remained unreachable by phone, though he eventually communicated via Facebook Messenger, stating he was unable to stand. Rescuers eventually found him lying incapacitated in the forest. After receiving initial first aid, he regained consciousness and was able to stand.
According to Khaosod Online, the man claimed he had intended to leave due to frustration with his spouse but experienced sudden dizziness and blacked out, describing a sensation of a 'dark shadow' obstructing his vision. He stated he would not repeat such actions in the future.

While the individual was recovered safely, the exact medical cause of his sudden collapse remains unconfirmed.
