On September 21, 2026, the Central Administrative Court held a three-hour hearing regarding a lawsuit filed by Dr. Sarana Boonbaichaiyapruck, the Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). Dr. Sarana is challenging a July 21, 2026, decision by the NBTC selection committee, which ruled that he possessed prohibited characteristics and lacked the necessary qualifications to hold his position from the outset.
Dr. Sarana attended the hearing in person to provide testimony.
