CP Foton, Thailand Post, and OR Collaborate on Electric Truck Logistics
CP Foton, Thailand Post, and OR are conducting a feasibility study to integrate electric trucks into postal delivery services to promote green logistics.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, CP Foton Sales, Thailand Post, and OR have launched a joint initiative to study the implementation of electric trucks within the postal delivery network. This project aims to transition Thailand’s logistics sector toward more sustainable, 'Green Logistics' practices by establishing a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem.
Chen Demao, Managing Director of CP Foton Sales, indicated that the partnership is currently focused on evaluating the operational viability of these electric vehicles for commercial transport. By replacing traditional combustion-engine trucks with electric alternatives, the companies hope to reduce the carbon footprint associated with nationwide mail and parcel distribution.
