Large Python Captured After Consuming Chickens in Udon Thani

On September 20, 2026, rescue workers from the Song Serm Tham Foundation in Udon Thani were called to a residence on the Udon Thani-Nong Samrong road in the Mu Mon sub-district. The homeowner, 32-year-old Wuttipat, had reported that 25 of his fighting chickens had gradually disappeared over the past two weeks.

Upon arrival, responders discovered a large python, measuring approximately three meters in length and weighing about 20 kilograms, perched in a pomelo tree. The snake was successfully captured by rescue personnel using specialized equipment after a tense operation. Near the tree, officials found the carcass of one chicken that had been constricted by the reptile.
