OSMEP Reports Over 1 Billion Baht Economic Impact from SME Support Program
Thailand's Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) announced that its Business Development Service (BDS) program has generated over 1 billion baht in economic value between 2022 and 2026.
According to a report from Khaosod Online, the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) has highlighted the success of its Business Development Service (BDS) initiative. Panita Shinawatra, acting director of OSMEP, stated that from 2022 to 2026, the program facilitated over 6,131 SME proposals, supported by more than 332 million baht in subsidies. This effort has resulted in a cumulative economic value exceeding 1 billion baht.
The BDS program utilizes a co-payment mechanism designed to accelerate business development and enhance the competitiveness of local enterprises. As of 2026, the network has expanded to include 401 business service providers (BDSP), offering 1,464 distinct services. These services range from productivity management and business operations to product standardization and market expansion, both domestically and internationally.
