The search was initiated after a child, the offspring of a park worker, claimed to have seen a crocodile in the creek on the evening of September 19. Given the potential safety risks to the community, officials mobilized to secure the area. However, after a thorough inspection of the creek, which features water levels only slightly above ankle height, no crocodile or physical evidence of the animal’s presence was discovered.
