French National Arrested After Disrupting Samui Exotic Park
A French man dressed as Spider-Man was arrested after trespassing at Samui Exotic Park to stage a protest involving Pokémon toys and political messaging.
On September 20, 2026, authorities on Koh Samui arrested a French national who trespassed into the Samui Exotic Park. According to Khaosod Online, the individual was wearing a black Spider-Man mask and hoodie when he entered the premises to conduct a symbolic protest.
During the incident, the man removed a sign featuring the Israeli flag from the building's exterior and replaced it with a banner reading, "IMAGINE ALL PEOPLE LIVING IN PEACE." He then arranged several Pokémon toys on the ground, stating on camera that he intended to "save all the Pokémon" and promote world peace.
This event is notable as the park has recently been the subject of public controversy regarding racial tensions and disputes involving Israeli nationals, which previously resulted in deportation orders for individuals associated with the facility. The suspect is reportedly the son of a person recently involved in a legal case concerning nominee business structures in Thailand.
For residents and travelers, this incident highlights ongoing tensions surrounding the park. While the situation is currently under police investigation, it remains to be confirmed how this specific act of trespassing will be legally classified and what further actions authorities may take regarding the park's security or the suspect's status in the country.
