43-Year-Old Man Arrested for Motorcycle Theft Ring in Sisaket
Police in Sisaket have apprehended a 43-year-old man accused of stealing motorcycles across the province to trade for methamphetamine.
On September 20, 2026, authorities in Sisaket province arrested a 43-year-old man, identified as Mr. Athorn, following a series of motorcycle thefts across multiple districts. According to Khaosod Online, police had been monitoring high-risk areas after receiving reports of recurring vehicle thefts. Officers apprehended the suspect in the Phrai Bueng district while he was allegedly attempting to steal another motorcycle.
During interrogation, the suspect confessed to committing at least 12 thefts across various jurisdictions, including Mueang Sisaket, Nam Kliang, Phayu, Benjalak, and Phrai Bueng. He claimed that most of the stolen vehicles were transported across the border into Laos. Disturbingly, the suspect alleged that he traded each stolen motorcycle for only 30 methamphetamine pills.

While the suspect is currently in custody, the full extent of the criminal network and the total number of vehicles involved remain under investigation.
