Thailand’s Largest Motorway Rest Area, 'The Rest Village Sriracha', Set for June 2027 Opening
The Department of Highways has announced that the massive 121-rai 'The Rest Village Sriracha' rest area on the M7 motorway is scheduled to begin full operations by June 2027.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, the Department of Highways is overseeing the construction of 'The Rest Village Sriracha,' a major new rest stop located on the M7 motorway. During an inspection on September 17, 2026, Department of Highways Director-General Piyapong Jiwattanakulpaisarn confirmed that the project is progressing toward a full-scale opening in June 2027.
Spanning 121 rai, this facility is set to become the largest motorway rest area in Thailand. For travelers and residents, the site is designed to serve as a significant transit hub, offering extensive amenities for those commuting between Bangkok and the Eastern Economic Corridor. The development aims to improve road safety and convenience by providing a comprehensive space for rest and refueling along one of the country's busiest transport routes.
While the project is currently under construction, the Department of Highways continues to monitor progress to ensure the mid-2027 timeline is met.
