Taiwanese Man Arrested for Alleged Murder of Thai Woman
A 43-year-old Taiwanese man has been detained following the discovery of a 36-year-old Thai woman's body in a freezer at his workplace in Taichung.
According to reports from Khaosod Online, a 43-year-old Taiwanese man, identified as an employee at a technology firm in Taichung, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his 36-year-old Thai girlfriend. The victim, identified as 'Art,' had traveled to Taiwan on September 2 to visit the suspect, with whom she had been in a relationship for approximately one year. She was scheduled to return to Thailand on September 14, but her family lost contact with her, prompting them to seek assistance from friends in Taiwan.
On September 18, police in the Wanhua District reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the victim checking into a hotel in the Ximending area on September 12. The footage reportedly captured the suspect visiting the hotel and leaving the following morning with a large black suitcase. Investigators tracked the suspect to his workplace in Taichung, where the victim's body was subsequently discovered in a freezer.
