Multiple Arson and Sabotage Attacks Reported in Bannang Sata, Yala
Authorities are investigating a series of coordinated attacks in Yala province involving arson, property damage, and road hazards that disrupted traffic on Route 410.
According to reports from Khaosod Online, a series of disruptive incidents occurred in the early hours of September 20, 2026, in the Bannang Sata district of Yala province. Unidentified perpetrators targeted multiple locations near Ban Pong Ya Mu, causing significant damage to property and creating hazardous conditions for motorists on Route 410.
Evidence gathered by local authorities indicates that the attackers burned motorcycle tires on the road and placed suspicious cylindrical objects equipped with wires in the middle of the thoroughfare. Additionally, caltrops were scattered across the road surface, posing a severe risk to vehicles. The perpetrators also disabled two CCTV cameras and set fire to heavy machinery, including one backhoe and three road rollers.
For residents and travelers, these incidents represent a significant disruption to local infrastructure and safety.
