Police Investigate Assault by Gang in Buriram
A 31-year-old man has filed a police report after being pursued and assaulted by a group of teenagers in Lahan Sai, Buriram.
On September 19, 2026, a 31-year-old man identified as Nipon filed a formal complaint with the Lahan Sai Police Station in Buriram province. According to the report, the victim and a friend were at a local restaurant when they were confronted by a group of seven to eight teenagers. The victim stated that the group initiated a verbal altercation, questioning where he was from and making provocative comments.
Despite the victim attempting to leave the establishment to avoid further conflict, the group allegedly continued to harass him, throwing objects at his table and threatening him if he attempted to depart. Upon leaving the restaurant, the victim was pursued by the group on motorcycles. He reported that the gang forced his vehicle to stop and physically assaulted him, striking him twice.
This incident highlights potential safety concerns regarding public confrontations in local nightlife settings. For residents and travelers, it serves as a reminder to exercise caution when encountering aggressive behavior in social venues. Authorities are currently reviewing video evidence shared on social media to identify the suspects.
