Tragic Incident in Chonburi: Man Dies Attempting to Rescue Puppies
A 65-year-old man lost his life while attempting to rescue newborn puppies from an underground burrow in Chonburi province.
On September 19, 2026, local authorities in Ban Bueng, Chonburi, responded to a tragic incident involving a 65-year-old man, identified as Mr. Wanna Sae-Lee. According to reports from Khaosod Online, emergency responders were alerted to a site near a drainage canal in Nong Irun sub-district, where they discovered the man’s body trapped inside an underground burrow.
Rescue teams worked for approximately 10 minutes to excavate the area, which featured a narrow opening of about 60 centimeters. Upon recovering the body, officials found the victim in a prone position with his hands extended forward. Two newborn puppies were discovered deceased near his hands. Preliminary examinations by medical personnel from Ban Bueng Hospital indicated no signs of physical assault or foul play.
