Nine Individuals Face Charges in Khon Kaen Land Dispute Case
Nine people, including a woman known as 'Pa Da,' have reported to Khon Kaen police to acknowledge charges related to a long-standing land ownership dispute.
On September 18, 2026, nine individuals, including Ms. Chommanee Noichan (known as 'Pa Da') and Ms. Buakhai Sorsamut, appeared at the Khon Kaen City Police Station in response to official summons. The group provided statements and had their fingerprints taken before being released, as they were not under arrest.
According to Khaosod Online, the individuals face various allegations stemming from a complex land dispute involving temple property and inheritance claims. Ms. Chommanee has formally denied all charges brought against her. She stated that the conflict involves claims regarding the status of a temple abbot and the legitimacy of land ownership processes, which she asserts have excluded the rightful heirs. She expressed confidence that the truth will be revealed as the legal process unfolds.
