Man Arrested in Chachoengsao After Vandalizing Property
A 44-year-old man was taken into custody in Chachoengsao after damaging local property during a domestic dispute-related outburst.
On the morning of September 18, 2026, police in Chachoengsao arrested a 44-year-old man, identified as Narong, following reports of property damage near Wat Pitulathirat Rangsarit. According to Khaosod Online, the incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. on Maruphong Road.
Narong reportedly became agitated after being denied entry to his girlfriend’s home, as she had reportedly started a new relationship. Lacking a place to stay, he had been sleeping at the local temple. In a state of distress, he began damaging items belonging to residents along the roadside. During his arrest, Narong claimed that destroying property was preferable to harming individuals.
For residents and travelers in the area, this incident highlights the importance of remaining vigilant in public spaces, especially during early morning hours. Local residents expressed concern regarding the potential danger the situation could have posed had it occurred later in the morning when students were commuting to school. They have urged authorities to take firm legal action against individuals who exhibit such erratic and destructive behavior in public.
While the suspect is currently in police custody, the specific legal charges he will face remain to be confirmed by the Mueang Chachoengsao Police Station. No injuries were reported during the incident, and the extent of the property damage is still being assessed.
