Thailand Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi 2026

The Thai Department of Religious Affairs, under the Ministry of Culture, has invited the public and tourists to participate in the 'Ganesh Chaturthi 2026' festival. This significant Hindu celebration, which honors the birth of Lord Ganesha—the deity of wisdom, success, and the removal of obstacles—is being held from September 14 to 25, 2026.

According to Chaiyapol Suk-iam, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, the event offers a unique opportunity for visitors to experience the spiritual energy and cultural traditions of the Hindu faith. The festivities are centered at three prominent religious sites in Bangkok: the Dev Mandir (Hindu Samaj), the Vishnu Temple (Hindu Dharma Sabha), and the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple (Wat Khaek Silom).
