Department of Water Resources Deploys Pumps to Mitigate Flood Risks
Thai authorities have installed water pumps in Phichit and Nan provinces to manage potential flooding in local communities.
On September 18, 2026, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) announced the deployment of specialized water pumping equipment to two provinces in Thailand to address localized water management concerns.
In Phichit Province, the DWR’s regional office installed an 8-inch water pump in Ban Noen Samo, located in Pa Makap sub-district, Mueang Phichit district. Simultaneously, in Nan Province, a 10-inch water pump was set up in Ban Na Lao, situated in the Phong sub-district of Santi Suk district.
For residents and travelers, these deployments indicate proactive measures by local authorities to mitigate the impact of seasonal water accumulation or potential flooding in these specific rural areas.
