A 70-year-old man was rescued from the debris of his collapsed wooden home in Samut Prakan early Wednesday morning.
On the morning of September 18, 2026, a 70-year-old man identified as Mr. Toy was rescued after his single-story wooden house collapsed in the Phra Pradaeng district of Samut Prakan province. According to Khaosod Online, local authorities and neighbors were alerted to the incident around 4:30 a.m. after hearing a loud crash in the community behind Wat Pa Ket School.
Rescuers spent approximately 25 minutes clearing debris to reach the victim, who was found trapped near his sleeping area. He sustained injuries to his back and was promptly transported to Bangchak Hospital for medical treatment. Local officials, including the sub-district headman, noted that the structure was approximately 50 years old, raising concerns about the integrity of aging wooden dwellings in the area.
