Bangkok Fuel Pipeline and Logistics (BFPL) and BPT have launched a new phase of site inspections near the Rama III Bridge following reports of oil contamination. On September 16, 2026, the companies began excavating soil in the Chuea Phloeng Road area to investigate potential leaks from their pipeline network.

Initial inspections conducted on September 12, 2026, did not reveal any abnormalities in the pipelines at the primary site where oil odors and stains were first reported. However, because the source of the contamination remains unidentified, the companies have expanded their search radius. Recent efforts have uncovered minor traces of oil in the vicinity, though a direct link to the pipeline system has not yet been confirmed.
