Police Investigate Homicide of Convenience Store Worker in Udon Thani
Authorities in Udon Thani are investigating the death of a 24-year-old convenience store employee found in her dormitory, with investigators currently treating the case as a homicide.
On September 17, 2026, police in Udon Thani province convened a task force to investigate the death of a 24-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Pim, who worked at a local convenience store. Her body was discovered within her dormitory room, prompting an immediate investigation by local police, regional investigators, and forensic teams.
According to Khaosod Online, Police Colonel Pattanawong Chanphon, Superintendent of Mueang Udon Thani Police Station, stated that officers are prioritizing the homicide theory. Investigators are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the dormitory’s perimeter, including blind spots that might have been used by an intruder. Additionally, police have begun collecting DNA samples from residents of the dormitory; five out of six rooms have been processed, with the sixth room currently under further scrutiny.
Authorities have also tracked down jewelry belonging to the victim at a local pawn shop, a key development in the ongoing inquiry.
