According to a report by Thai Post, the Narcotics Suppression Command (NOB.YS.35) has released its 2026 summary regarding drug interdiction efforts along Thailand's northern border. The data indicates that authorities successfully seized over 612 million methamphetamine pills and approximately 22,000 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (ice) throughout the year.
During these operations, 53 individuals associated with trafficking networks were killed. Officials highlighted a concerning shift in tactics, noting that criminal syndicates are increasingly recruiting minors between the ages of 14 and 17 to transport illicit substances across the border.
