Russian Motorcyclist Praised for Assisting Other Driver After Pattaya Collision
A Russian national is being commended for prioritizing the safety of another driver after a motorcycle collision on Route 36 in Chonburi.
On September 17, 2026, a traffic accident occurred on Route 36 (Krating Lai-Rayong) near the Wat Santikham U-turn in Nong Pla Lai, Bang Lamung, Chonburi. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, a collision took place between a Ducati motorcycle and a Honda Wave.
Reports indicate that the Ducati, operated by a 24-year-old Russian national identified as Mr. Hoboxehnh, was cut off by the Honda Wave, leading to a crash that caused the Ducati to catch fire. Despite sustaining abrasions and witnessing his own vehicle engulfed in flames, the Russian rider reportedly rushed to assist the other driver, 39-year-old Mr. Thanakrit, who was also injured in the incident. Rescue personnel from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation in Pattaya arrived at the scene to provide first aid to both individuals.
