Thai Vietjet has announced significant financial and operational growth for the first half of 2026, with plans to expand its fleet to 50 aircraft by 2028.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand on September 17, 2026, Thai Vietjet has surpassed its pre-pandemic performance metrics. CEO Woranate Laprabang stated that the airline generated 10 billion baht in revenue during the first half of 2026, serving over 3.5 million passengers with a consistent load factor of 85%. This represents a 130% growth compared to pre-COVID levels.
For travelers and residents, this expansion signals increased connectivity. The airline plans to increase its total seat capacity by 60% next year, reaching over 14 million seats annually. Furthermore, the carrier is preparing to launch new routes connecting Thailand to Indonesia, China, and Australia. The airline’s strategic roadmap includes growing its fleet to 39 aircraft by 2027 and reaching 50 aircraft by 2028.
