Hua Hin Authorities to Demolish Beachfront Structures Starting September 25
Following a final Supreme Administrative Court ruling, Hua Hin Municipality is set to begin the demolition of unauthorized buildings located on public land between the local fish pier and the Tubtim Goddess Shrine.
On September 16, 2026, Hua Hin Mayor Nopporn Wuttikul chaired a meeting to finalize plans for the removal of structures built on public land along the Hua Hin coastline. This action follows a final judgment from the Supreme Administrative Court, which declared the buildings to be on public property.
According to Khaosod Online, the municipality previously issued orders for owners to vacate and demolish these structures within 30 days of receiving official notice. As of mid-September, no owners had reported completing the required demolition. Consequently, the municipality has contracted a third party to carry out the work, with operations scheduled to commence on September 25, 2026. Officials have begun posting formal notices at the site, specifically covering the area from the Hua Hin Fish Pier to the Tubtim Goddess Shrine, to provide the legally required seven-day advance warning.
