According to a report by Thai Post on September 17, 2026, Don Muang Pattana Co., Ltd., the operator of Simummuang Market, has entered a partnership with Chonthicha Pailin Co., Ltd., the distributor of SATSEV electric cargo tricycles. This collaboration is part of the market's "Simummuang Sustainable City" vision, aimed at transitioning toward low-carbon transportation within the wholesale facility.
The initiative encourages vendors to adopt electric tricycles for their daily operations. The market operator claims that these vehicles can reduce energy costs by more than six times compared to traditional alternatives. By integrating these electric vehicles, the market aims to establish itself as a "green wholesale market."
