Taokaenoi Food & Marketing (TKN) Announces Share Buyback Program
Thai snack giant Taokaenoi has approved a share buyback scheme worth up to 80 million baht, set to commence on September 22, 2026.
According to a report by Prachachat Business, Taokaenoi Food & Marketing Public Company Limited (TKN) has officially approved a share buyback program. The company plans to allocate a budget not exceeding 80 million baht to repurchase up to 17 million shares, representing approximately 1.23% of its total issued shares.
The buyback period is scheduled to run from September 22, 2026, through March 21, 2027. Jiraphong Santiromkul, Deputy Managing Director of TKN, stated that the primary objective of this initiative is to manage the company's excess liquidity and improve the efficiency of shareholder returns.
For residents and investors in Thailand, this move is often viewed as a signal of corporate confidence in the company's financial health and future prospects. While the program is intended to stabilize or enhance shareholder value, it does not directly impact the daily operations of the snack brand or the availability of its products for consumers.
At this stage, the actual number of shares to be repurchased and the specific timing of the transactions within the six-month window remain to be confirmed by the company’s market performance. Interested parties should monitor official filings from the Stock Exchange of Thailand for further updates regarding the execution of this buyback program.
