Opposition politician Suphanat has highlighted seven irregularities regarding a 10-billion-baht budget for electric garbage trucks, alleging that restrictive procurement specifications have prevented the project's implementation.
According to a report by Matichon Online on September 16, 2026, Suphanat Minchaiynunt has publicly questioned the procurement process for electric vehicle (EV) garbage trucks. The project, which was allocated a budget of 10 billion baht over a three-year period, has reportedly failed to move forward. Suphanat identified seven specific irregularities, primarily alleging that the Terms of Reference (TOR) were designed to favor specific bidders, effectively locking the specifications and preventing a fair and successful procurement process.
