Leicester City FC Strengthens Financial Position via King Power Debt-to-Equity Swap

Leicester City Football Club has converted £8.5 million of debt into equity, supported by its parent company, King Power International.

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, Leicester City Football Club has successfully completed a debt-to-equity conversion worth £8.5 million (approximately 380 million baht). The club confirmed that it has issued new shares to its parent company, King Power International, to formalize this financial support.

This move is intended to bolster the club's ongoing operational financial stability. The club emphasized that this transaction does not alter the ownership structure, as the Srivaddhanaprabha family remains the ultimate beneficial owner. This latest action follows previous significant debt-to-equity conversions, including £124 million in January 2025 and £194 million at the end of 2022.

For residents and travelers interested in the club, this development signals a continued commitment from the Thai-owned parent company to maintain the club's fiscal health. While this provides immediate financial relief, it is important to note that the long-term impact on the club's transfer budget or future investment strategies remains to be confirmed by official club announcements. The club continues to operate under its existing management and ownership framework, ensuring continuity for fans and stakeholders alike.
