Bhumjaithai MP Questions Election Commission on Senate Investigation Delays

During a parliamentary session on July 16, 2026, Bhumjaithai Party list MP Supachai Jaismut addressed the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) regarding the status of ongoing investigations into Senate election irregularities. Supachai questioned why investigations into the 'Orange' group, independent candidates, and the iLaw group have remained unresolved for two years, while investigations into the 'Blue' group have proceeded. He argued that the ECT must apply the same standards to all political factions and expressed concern over the potential leaking of confidential case documents to the public. He demanded that the commission provide a clear explanation for the perceived delays and address the integrity of their internal processes.
