MGO Mobility Enters Thailand’s Electric Taxi Market

According to a report by Prachachat Business, MGO Mobility has officially entered the Thai electric vehicle (EV) taxi market through a strategic partnership with GAC Thailand. The company has begun the initial delivery of GAC AION Y Plus vehicles, which are now being offered for rent at a rate of 799 baht per day.

For residents and travelers in Thailand, this initiative represents a potential shift toward greener public transportation options in the taxi sector. MGO Mobility, led by Chairman Manoch Pathomworakul, has set an ambitious target to deliver 500 vehicles by the end of this year, with a broader goal of selling 3,000 units over the next three years.

While the rollout of these electric taxis is underway, several details remain to be confirmed. Specifically, the company has not yet disclosed the full geographic scope of where these vehicles will be deployed or the specific infrastructure support available for charging these taxis in high-traffic areas.
