ttb and OR Launch Integrated Fleet Card for Fuel and EV Charging
TMBThanachart Bank (ttb) has partnered with PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR) to introduce a unified fleet card that manages both traditional fuel and electric vehicle charging expenses.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, TMBThanachart Bank (ttb) and PTT Oil and Retail Business (OR) have collaborated to upgrade the 'ttb fleet card.' This new solution allows businesses to consolidate expenses for both internal combustion engine vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs) into a single payment card.
Kanokporn Joota, head of business product management at ttb, and Piman Poolsri, executive vice president of retail fuel business at OR, announced that this initiative is designed to support the transition toward modern energy usage. The card enables users to pay for fuel at PTT Stations and charge vehicles at EV Station PluZ locations seamlessly. ttb claims to be the first bank in Thailand to integrate these two energy services into one management solution.
For residents and business owners operating fleets in Thailand, this development may simplify administrative processes and expense tracking as the country continues to expand its EV infrastructure. By streamlining payments, companies can manage mixed-energy fleets with greater efficiency. While the partnership aims to facilitate a smoother transition to electric mobility, it remains to be seen how widely this card will be adopted by small-to-medium enterprises and what specific reporting features will be available to fleet managers to optimize their energy consumption.
