Suspect Arrested Following Armed Gold Shop Robbery in Pathum Thani
Authorities have apprehended a 56-year-old man accused of stealing over 3.5 million baht in gold from a shop in Sam Khok.
According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, police have arrested a 56-year-old suspect, identified as Banlue, in connection with an armed robbery at a gold shop located along the Pathum Thani-Sam Khok Road. The incident involved a lone assailant wearing a black hoodie who allegedly stole gold necklaces weighing a total of 52 baht, valued at more than 3.5 million baht.
On September 16, 2026, law enforcement officials, led by the Sam Khok Police Station, conducted a crime scene reconstruction with the suspect. The arrest took place near a convenience store close to Wat Prem Prachakorn in the Bang Phun sub-district, where officers recovered the stolen gold. During the reconstruction, the suspect appeared exhausted and remained silent.
