Hospital director Dr. Kobchai Jirachanchai has issued a formal apology, attributing the mold to humidity trapped between floors due to inconsistent air conditioning usage during the rainy season. Beyond the mold, the facility is grappling with structural concerns; the 50-year-old special building sustained cracks and partial subsidence during a recent earthquake. Consequently, the hospital plans to demolish older structures and relocate patient services to other buildings.
