AIS and TAT Launch 'Nihao Month 2026' Campaign for Chinese Tourists

Thailand's AIS and the Tourism Authority of Thailand are offering 10,000 free 8GB 5G data packages to Chinese passport holders during the 'Nihao Month 2026' campaign.

According to a report by Khaosod Online Thailand, telecommunications provider AIS has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to introduce the 'Nihao Month 2026' campaign. This initiative is designed to support Chinese tourists visiting Thailand during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and the October Golden Week holiday period.

As part of the promotion, AIS is offering 10,000 complimentary 8GB 5G data packages, each valid for one day. To qualify, travelers must present a valid Chinese passport. This offer is intended to provide visitors with high-speed connectivity for navigation, social media, and communication while traveling across Thailand, including major destinations like Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.

In addition to the data giveaway, the campaign includes a series of promotional activities scheduled from September 26 to 29, featuring a delegation of Chinese KOLs. These events will highlight various partner benefits, such as Chao Phraya River cruises and Muay Thai experiences.

For travelers, this campaign offers a practical way to manage connectivity costs during their stay. However, interested individuals should note that the data offer is limited to 10,000 redemptions. Travelers are advised to check the official AIS channels for specific redemption procedures and to confirm the full list of participating merchants and terms of service, as details regarding the exact claim process were not fully detailed in the initial announcement.
