UOB Thailand Launches Second Year of 'UOB Wonder Lab' Sustainability Initiative

UOB Thailand has initiated the second year of its 'UOB Wonder Lab' program, connecting youth with major corporations to develop sustainability communication strategies.

According to Khaosod Online Thailand, UOB Thailand has officially launched the second year of its 'UOB Wonder Lab' project. Originally introduced in 2025, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between young people and the corporate sector to address real-world sustainability and social responsibility challenges.

This year, the program features the 'UOB Wonder Lab Impact Academy,' which selected 15 teams from an initial pool of 171 applicants, totaling 688 participants nationwide. These teams are collaborating directly with three corporate partners: DHL Express, DKSH, and Hafele Thailand. The participants are tasked with developing communication strategies that make sustainability issues more relatable and actionable for the general public. Throughout the process, these teams receive mentorship from corporate executives and industry experts to ensure their proposals align with business goals while effectively engaging the community.

For residents and visitors, this initiative highlights a growing emphasis on corporate social responsibility within Thailand’s business landscape. While the program focuses on youth development and communication, it reflects a broader trend of companies seeking to integrate sustainable practices into daily life. It remains to be confirmed how these specific communication strategies will be implemented by the partner corporations following the conclusion of the academy sessions.
