Stray Dogs Found Resting on Vehicle Roofs in Phetchabun
A group of stray dogs has been spotted climbing onto and sleeping on parked cars near the Lom Sak Police Station in Phetchabun province, causing concern among local vehicle owners.
According to a report by Khaosod Online on September 16, 2026, social media users have shared images and videos of stray dogs resting on the roofs of vehicles parked at a lot near the Lom Sak Police Station in Phetchabun, often referred to by locals as the 'front of the district office' area. The footage shows multiple dogs lounging on various cars, including white and black sedans, with visible muddy paw prints left on the surfaces.
A local restaurant owner, Mr. Chinnakorn, confirmed that a pack of approximately five to six stray dogs frequents the area. He noted that the animals are often seen sleeping on vehicle roofs or underneath cars during the day. Despite attempts by locals to shoo them away, the dogs consistently return to the vehicles.
For travelers and residents, this situation serves as a reminder to exercise caution when parking in this area. It is advisable to inspect vehicles for potential damage, such as scratches or paw prints, and to check underneath the chassis before driving to ensure no animals are hiding there.
