Land Dispute Resolved: Wat Pa Adulyaram Secures Ownership of 21 Rai
A long-standing land dispute in Khon Kaen has concluded with the official transfer of 21 rai of land to Wat Pa Adulyaram.
On September 16, 2026, a significant legal dispute concerning land ownership in Khon Kaen province reached its conclusion. According to Khaosod Online Thailand, Wat Pa Adulyaram has officially received the title deed for approximately 21 rai of land. The final transfer process took place at the Khon Kaen Provincial Land Office, attended by Ananchai Chaidej, Chairman of the Kongthaptham Foundation, and Phra Khru Adulsarnnithet, the abbot of the temple.
The transfer was authorized following a directive from the Ministry of Interior, which permitted the land to be legally registered under the temple's name. Thongthong Chandrangsu, a former Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, represented the authorities in handing over the deed to the abbot. To ensure the security of the property, the original deed will be held by the Khon Kaen Provincial Office of Buddhism, while the temple retains a copy.
For residents and visitors, this resolution provides clarity regarding the status of the temple grounds, ensuring the site remains under the stewardship of the religious institution. While the ownership transfer is complete, the long-term management of the land will now fall under the oversight of the provincial Buddhist authorities. No further legal challenges regarding this specific parcel of land have been reported.
