Thailand Curling Championships Conclude with Notable Victories
Former Olympic taekwondo medalist Chanatip Sonkham successfully defended her mixed doubles curling title at the Thailand Curling Championships.
The Curling Association of Thailand recently concluded its national championships, an event overseen by Association President Dr. Suwanna Silpa-archa. The competition highlighted the versatility of Thai athletes, most notably Chanatip Sonkham, a former Olympic bronze medalist in taekwondo. Partnering with Theekawin Jiaratheerawit, Sonkham successfully defended her title in the mixed doubles category, which featured a field of eight competing teams.
In other categories, the women’s division saw a team led by actress and presenter Kanya Nattachanarong secure the gold medal against two other competing squads. Meanwhile, the men’s division, which included four teams, resulted in a surprise victory for a youth team composed of Payut Wongwinyuchon, Pavich Wongwinyuchon, Thakorn Jinapong, and Thanadol Chueachuwong.
